Accountancy Recruit is partnering with a global software technology provider in the recruitment of an Assistant Management Accountant, based at the head office in Bury St Edmunds. The business is experiencing growth, and is a fast paced, busy environment, with a collaborative team culture.
Reporting into the Financial Controller, the purpose of this role is to maintain the day-to-day financial records and transactions using QuickBooks, assisting in the preparation of monthly management accounts and financial statements.
Key Responsibilities
- New customers set up on all relevant systems (Quickbooks, Maxio, Hubspot, etc.)
- Assist in maintaining the sales and purchase ledgers: dealing with customer and supplier queries
- Credit control for the UK and Europe
- Preparing payment runs
- Monitor the Finance email box
- Reconciling credit and debit card (UK&US)
- Petty cash reconciliation
- Processing staff expenses and filing of finance documents and contracts
- Assisting with the preparation of monthly management accounts.
- Month end journals; accruals and prepayments.
- Management of the fixed asset and subscriptions register.
- Responsible for ensuring IT and staff equipment have asset tags and that asset information is up to date in the staff onboarding data
- Assisting with cash-flow forecasting, ensuring accurate and proactive management of the cash flow to support strategic financial planning and operational efficiency.
- Assisting in preparing annual budgets and monitoring expenditure against budget.
- Providing sales and pricing analysis reports, along with detailed accounts receivable and payable position reviews, to inform strategic decision-making.
Requirements & Skills
- AAT, CIMA, or ACCA studier would be an advantage.
- Experience of Goggle Sheets would be an advantage, confident in Excel and accounting software
- Excellent time management with proven attention to detail

- Demonstrate a natural curiosity, ability to simplify the complex and a desire to learn and succeed

- Salary £30-35,000 pa
