Assistant Accountant - Cannon Accountants : Job Details

Cannon Accountants is a well-respected and long-established firm of Chartered Accountants based in Folkestone, with close ties to the area. We now have an outstanding opportunity for an experienced Assistant Accountant to join our team. We are a direct employer.

Acting for varied sole traders, partnerships, and limited company SME's and OMB's of varying sizes and industry sectors, you will deliver bookkeeping, support with management accounts, VAT, and other services to mixed clients.

Key day to day duties:

• Preparing financial data up to trial balance
• Double entry bookkeeping and bank reconciliations
• Prepayments and accruals
• VAT returns
• Assisting with the preparation of management accounts

What about you?

• Assistant Accountant with a minimum of 2 years of Accountancy Practice experience
• AAT studying, qualified or qualified by experience
• Ideally, experience with QuickBooks/Dext Software
• Competent with MS Outlook, Word and Excel
• Good communication and people skills
