Assistant Accountant - BK PLUS LIMITED : Job Details

BK Plus are a rapidy growing Accountancy firm. As part of our continued growth in Scotland we’re recruiting for an Assistant Accountant to join our Glasgow city centre office.

The successful candidate will work as part of a team within the accounts department, enjoying client contact and liaising with staff of varied experience levels to complete tasks in a supportive, friendly environment.

The role will involve:

• Being a point of contact for a portfolio of clients
• The preparation of statutory accounts, management accounts and various forecasts
• VAT compliance, supporting client book-keeping and providing software support
• Pro-actively advising clients on the most appropriate in house software packages
• Allocating work to and reviewing the work of more junior members of the team
• Taking on ad hoc analysis and project work
• Direct client contact will be a feature of the role so candidates should be comfortable with and enjoy this aspect of work.

The ideal Accounts Assistant will:

• Have experience working in an Accountancy firm
• Have experience working with IRIS, Xero and SAGE
