Our client is looking for an Assistant Accountant who is responsible for managing a portfolio of clients and assisting with training of apprentices, as well as providing accounts and audit support where necessary.

The role:

• Preparation of weekly, monthly and quarterly management information
• Handling accounts payable and receivables
• Payment runs
• VAT Returns
• Self-Assessment Tax Returns
• Bookkeeping reviews
• Bank and other Balance Sheet Reconciliations
• Maintaining company ledgers
• Projects and System implementations

The successful candidate:

• 2 years working in an accountancy practice environment
• Experience in VAT preparation
• Can prepare partnership to small companies’ accounts
• Have good IT skills, mainly Microsoft Office
• AAT qualified or finance related degree (minimum)
• Good communication skills
