Assistant Accountant - Basingstoke - Hybrid - £30000 - £40000 - 6 month FTC

We are resourcing for an Assistant Accountant to join our clients ranks. Driving a superb culture with a very forward-thinking outlook and hybrid working. They focus on staff progression with opportunities to develop and grow with the business. Personality is key as you will be working closely with the tight knit finance team and business as a whole.

The role of the Assistant Accountant will include, but not restricted to:

• Assist with financial operations, including reporting, revenue, accounts payable & stock control and fixed asset register.
• Ensure invoices are coded correctly
• Account payable and Accounts Receivable duties.
• Support the team with month end closing, accruals, prepayments, journal preparation.
• Balance sheet reconciliations (Bank, Revenue, Cash)
• Manage weekly BACS runs
• Other ad-hoc tasks and projects that may be requested by the line manager.

Requirements:

• Ability to prioritise and organise own work
• Strong knowledge of Excel; V-lookups and pivot tables is desirable
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office.
