Assistant Accountant - Falmouth - Up to: £35,000

Trial Balance Consulting have been exclusively reengaged by a long standing client, a highly successful industrial services contractor with a global client base. The business is expanding quickly and so is their finance function, and they’ve now tasked us with sourcing an experienced Assistant Accountant to join them in a newly created position within the company. The role is offered as full time, permanent contract to be based at the company’s headquarters in Falmouth (with free company parking).

Working closely alongside a longstanding and highly experienced Finance Manager and as part of friendly finance team, this will be a broad and interesting position with a particular focus on accounting controls for the company’s numerous growth projects. Key responsibilities to include:

- Support the Finance Manager and management accounting team in all aspects of the company's financial controls

- Play a key role in company project financial budget planning

- Ensure that statutory reporting deadlines are met

- Bank reconciliations

- Produce cash flow statements and general forecasts

- Commercial project analysis

- Project costing and variance reporting

- Assist in the production of monthly project reports

For this role we seek a motivated and career driven Assistant Accountant with at least two years of recently gained experience in a similar capacity, or moving from practice to industry. Candidates may be part/fully AAT/professionally qualified or suitably qualified through vocational experience. The company is keen to implement digital system improvements so good IT aptitude and excellent MS Excel skills essential. This is a highly visible role that works with an energetic team and liaises with colleagues throughout the business so excellent communication/interpersonal skills required.
