Description
Assistant Accountant:
- Collaborating with senior finance staff to prepare annual statutory accounts and streamline financial processes.
- Managing and supporting finance team members in daily operations, including accounts payable, receivable, payroll, and cash management.
- Assisting in the creation of budgets, forecasting, and developing key performance indicators.
- Producing management accounts and dashboards, monitoring income and expenditure, and preparing VAT returns.
- Ensuring compliance with internal and external audit requirements and maintaining robust financial records.
Profile
The ideal Assistant Accountant will possess at least some of - if not all - of the following:
- Working toward a professional accountancy qualification (e.g., AAT or equivalent).
- Possess strong time management skills.
- Aptitude for financial IT systems.
- Excellent interpersonal abilities to foster collaboration within the team.
- Experience in budgeting, financial reporting, and cash flow management is essential.
