Assistant Accountant (6 Month FTC)

• Contract Type: 6-Month Fixed Term Contract (FTC) with potential for extension
• Location: Guildford
• Salary: Up to £40,000 PA (FTE)
• Start Date: ASAP

Join our team as a Finance Contractor for a 6-month period, with the possibility of extension. This role is crucial as it covers for a team member on long-term sick leave. With year-end approaching, your expertise will be vital in supporting our financial operations.

Day-to-day of the role:

• Manage staff costs, prepare financial reports, and handle invoicing.
• Utilise SAP for various financial operations, including managing tax codes.
• Leverage knowledge of the Ariba system to enhance financial processes (preferred but not essential).
• Support year-end financial activities to ensure timely completion of all tasks.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a finance role.
• Strong proficiency in SAP is essential.
• Familiarity with the Ariba system is advantageous.
• Experience in the technology or telecommunications sectors is beneficial.
• Candidates studying towards a finance qualification will be considered favourably, or newly qualified with the required experience f working within a finance department.
• Immediate availability is highly desirable to meet business needs.
