- Assisting with the reconciliation of control accounts, including daily management of cash accounts
- Partnering with colleagues on the purchase ledger, particularly during the rollout of a new system
- Stepping in for colleagues to manage the sales ledger and credit control when needed
- Overseeing weekly payroll (outsourced) during absences, ensuring timesheets are accurate
- Producing reports with insightful commentary for the Finance Manager to inform business decisions
- Collaborating with the sales team to monitor pricing and identify trends
- Supporting with management account reconciliations and investigating discrepancies
What you will need:
- Previous experience in a similar role, such as Assistant Accountant / Assistant Management Accountant / Accounts Assistant / Finance Assistant / Ledger Clerk
- A solid understanding of management accounts, reporting and reconciliation processes
- Proficiency in Excel, including VLOOKUPs and pivot tables, able to analyse and present data effectively
- A collaborative and resilient attitude - you’ll balance a lighthearted workplace culture with the pressures of meeting deadlines
