Assistant Accountant - HR GO Recruitment : Job Details

Job Title: Assistant Accountant Location:DoverJob Type: Full time/permanent (Monday to Friday)Salary: £28,000 - £35,000 per annum (dependent on experience)Reports to: Finance ManagerWe are delighted to be working with a highly successful, multi award winning organisation that has been trading for over 100 years, they are looking to appoint a Assistant Accountant to join their busy finance team. Reporting directly to the Finance Manager you will play a vital role in supporting Directors and the team to ensure the smooth running of the finance function within the business.

Duties include:

• Support in the preparation and maintenance of the balance sheet reconciliations.
• Completion of bank reconciliations.
• Assist with the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual management reports.
• Support Sales & Purchase Ledger.
• Produce inventory reports that will support analysis.
• Assist with audit documentation.
• Other duties as assigned by the Finance Manager.

Skills/experience required:

• 2 + Years' experience working in a finance role
• AAT or ACCA/CIMA studlier looking to qualify within the next 2 years; desirable but not essential.
• Strong understanding of accounting practices.
• Excellent numerical and analytical skills
• Be highly organised and able to work to deadlines effectively.
