Assistant Accountant - AFR Consulting : Job Details

Our exclusive client based in Chorley are currently recruiting for an Assistant Accountant to join their busy finance team. This is a development role and would suit someone who wants to progress and develop their management accounts experience further.

Duties include:

• Assisting in the preparation of management accounts including preparation of subsidiaries accounts
• Bank reconciliations
• Balance sheet reconciliations including WIP and fixed assets
• Preparation of VAT and CIS returns
• Management reporting and audit/tax analysis
• Review and process expenses
• Preparation of the payment runs
• Holiday cover for transactional team

To be considered for this role, you need to have good all-round accounts experience and have a real interest in developing your skills further. The client will pay for study support (AAT/CIMA) and though the role is initially an Assistant Accountant position, this role will develop into a management accounts role in the future. They will consider someone who is currently an assistant accountant or an accounts assistant wanting to take the next step.
