Assistant Accountant Luxury Fashion Retail - Hays Specialist Recruitment Limited : Job Details

Your new companyYou will work for a prestigious luxury retail fashion company, renowned for their exquisite designs and exceptional customer service.Your new roleThis is a newly created role which has come about due to a small department restructure. The role will initially focus on one business subsidiary, but will build to take on responsibilities for the parent company, thus being a role which will evolve with your skills. Key responsibilities will include (but not be limited to):

• Assisting with the preparation of monthly Management Accounts, including preparing and posting journals, and reconciliations
• End to end Accounts Payable including staff expenses
• Providing assistance to the Finance Manager with the ongoing streamlining of existing processes and procedures
• Assisting with external audit as required
• Assisting with the preparation of VAT reporting (UK)
• Business Partnering with non-finance related departments to provide support/guidance, and improve interdepartmental processes
• Assisting the Finance Manager and Finance Director with analysis on an adhoc basis

*** This is an office-based role (5 days, Mon-Fri) 9am-6pm. Hybrid working is not offered ***What you'll need to succeedYou will be a keen and ambitious individual with a strong background in transactional accounting (significantly Accounts Payable) and exposure to month-end accounting including posting accounting journals. *** Please note that this company is unable to provide visa sponsorship for this position.
