Assistant Accountant Temporary - Grafton Banks Limited : Job Details

Grafton Banks Finance is partnering with an exciting business in the Lewes area that is looking to recruit an Assistant Accountant on a temporary basis for an initial 6-month period. Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will play a key role in supporting month-end processes, as well as managing accounts payable and receivable duties.

Key responsbilities:

• Perform balance sheet reconciliations
• Assist with VAT returns preparation
• Handle credit card reconciliations
• Manage fixed asset and prepayment accounting
• Process accounts payable tasks, including raising PO numbers, invoicing, and general ledger coding
• Oversee expense processing
• Support the preparation of cash flow forecasts
• Assist with ad hoc tasks, including reconciliations, financial analysis, and project support

What we are looking for:

• Available to start at short notice or immediately
• Experience with month-end close processes
• AAT Level 4 qualification (desirable)
• Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with ERP accounting systems
