About the role

As the Assistant Buyer for Beauty you will be collaborating closely with the Category Manager to deliver the business strategy and commercial targets, whilst also becoming a category expert in the field of fragrance, skin care and cosmetics, deputising for them when needed.

You will be responsible for:

  • Working cross-functionally and collaboratively with other marketing and operations to support execution plans for category strategies
  • Liaising with Marketing team and Suppliers to deliver specific Marketing & promotional activity
  • Maintaining and develop in depth current knowledge of trends, competitor activities and retail prices
  • Managing the vessel/shop weekly communication to ensure clarity of message and engagement
  • Implementing cost and retail price changes in the LS21 system
  • Planogram management to ensure category vision is reflected on-shelf
  • Supporting with running reports weekly for Weekly Trading meetings and ad hoc for analysing sales performance
  • Delivering of Budgeted financial KPIs including sales, profit, margin and supplier income.
  • This role will involve travel, so a valid passport is essential.

About you

We are on the lookout for an energetic and driven individual with at least 2+ years of experience in Head Office Retail Category Management, Buying, or a similar commercial setting. If you’ve got experience in the Beauty sector, that’s a bonus! You have a solid track record of delivering results and making a real impact on the bottom line. Ideally, you are degree-educated in sales, marketing, or business, with a flair for collaborating with senior stakeholders. Your communication skills in English are top-notch, and you're tech-savvy, particularly with Excel. If you’re a result-oriented, analytical thinker with a vibrant personality, this could be the role for you.
