Assistant Buyer - NEXT GENERATION LTD : Job Details

Next Generation are pleased to have been appointed to recruit for an Assistant Buyer to work with a well-established engineering company based near Cradley Heath. The Assistant Buyer will be responsible for providing administrative and commercial support to the procurement department.

Working hours for the Assistant Buyer:

• Monday - Friday 8am - 4.30pm

What’s on offer for the Assistant Buyer:

• Competitive salary up to £28,000 p.a. (DOE)

Duties of the Assistant Buyer:

• Issue enquiries and raise purchase orders as required.
• Commodities covered will be MRO, industrial supplies, soft facilities services and subcontract machining
• Issue and expedite orders to ensure services and supplies arrive in a timely manner
• Liaise with other departments to ensure requirements are understood and communicated
• Manage the goods receipt process and liaise with suppliers and accounts team to resolve

invoice queries.

• Update and publish metrics (order value, savings, maintenance budget, outstanding

balance etc.)

• Process new supplier application forms

The successful candidate for the Assistant Buyers position will have the following experience:

• 3 years experience as an Assistant Buyer within a manufacturing/engineering environment (Essential)
• Working with ERP/MRP systems (Essential)
• Managing supplier relations (Essential)
• Well versed with Microsoft Office packages (Essential)
