Our client is a highly successful name in the Property Sector. The Company head office is based at a location in the Centre of Manchester. Our client is currently looking for an Assistant Category Manager (Hard Services) to join their busy team to cover Maternity Leave - This role is Fixed Term Contract.
What you will be doing as the Assistant Category Manager:
- Support the development and execution of annual operations plans (including optimisation plans, mobilisation, cost reduction plans, service improvement plans and Service Partner development / performance management plans).
- Supplier identification and evaluation - fostering strategic partnerships
- Contract and cost negotiation
- Proactively and constructively identify and escalate process improvement opportunities
- Liaise closely with key stakeholders to ensure Hard Services sourcing methods are aligned
- Risk management and compliance
- Creating, Setting and Managing KPI’s
What you need to bring:
- 1-3 years of experience in a similar role - Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Facilities Management or Strategic Sourcing
- Project management skills
- Negotiation skills
- Excellent organisational skills
- Be a team player
- Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply (CIPS) - Desirable but not required
- Completely comfortable overseeing tendering processes
