In this role you will be responsible for minimizing overdue outstanding freight by proactively working with ONE offices and third-party agents in the EUA region.
The Role
- Support the delivery of all credit control matters across EUA region
- Building and developing effective relationships with key stakeholders in EUA agents and SIN GHQ is an important part of this role
- Email offices/agents to follow up on pending matters.
- Verify Credit applications have been completed correctly, and that all documentation is attached and in line with Global policy.
- Follow up on all pending credit issues.
- Update of credit terms within OPUS, distribute notification of credit terms to all applicable offices/regions.
- Assist with weekly reporting.
- Assist with issues relating to rate of exchange issues with agents/offices.
- Input of ROE tables into OPUS.
- Field queries relating to general processing issues.
- Field ad-hoc queries and reporting requirements from GHQ/RHQ as requested.
- Review write off/claim/adjustment requests as required and pass on within the approval process.
- Analyze trends and track the performance of offices/agents.
- Highlight any issues with increase in outstandings to the team.
- Register any issues within the ticketing system.
- Allocate emails/issues to the appropriate member of the team, when necessary.
- Receive instructions from / report to the General Headquarters (GHQ) in Singapore
- Liaise with Regional Headquarters (RHQ) regarding outstanding / customer credit applications.
- Send instructions to / liaise with European Union and Africa (EUA) agents regarding overdues and customer credit applications.
Scope of RoleBudget:
- EUA region outstanding USD 795 million (estimated) of which USD 70-80 million overdue (estimated) at any given time.
- 54 ONE offices and Third-Party Agents in the EUA region.
People Management: None
Location: London RHQ. No UK or foreign travel anticipated
