A global leader in the Management Consulting space is hiring into their Assets Advisory Practice
As one of the largest consulting workforces in the market, they consistently offer market leading training and development, the most complex, critical and intellectually challenging projects and programmes, the opportunity to deal directly with senior level decision makers, and fast track progression through their business.
This team in particular is the go to strategic advisor and delivery partner for a global network of corporate and public sector clients. They utilise the latest technology and industry insights to help clients optimise their real estate and infrastructure strategy, investments and operations, and achieve sustainability goals. The team houses a diverse mix of tenured Management Consultants, Chartered and Quantity Surveyors, Commercial and Procurement Consultants, Project and Programme Managers, Engineers, Cost Consultants, and Technology specialists.
There is currently multiple headcount across the team, with a particular need for Assistant Directors with prior Management Consulting experience in Capital Projects Delivery and/or Asset Management:
Examples of the work the Capital Projects Team does are:
- Defining the strategy for the delivery of a high profile, multi-billion pound capital investment programme, including designing and establishing a new client organisation from scratch;
- Reviewing the commercial and financial controls in a construction company and advising on the potential risks and mitigation measures that need to be implemented; and
- Being part of a team tasked with helping a client to recover a major capital investment programme that is in distress, stabilising it and re-establishing effective control of the delivery
- Advise clients on a range of technical areas spanning strategy definition, transformation programmes, assurance and distressed situations.
- Partner with various construction, engineering, highways, real estate firms on the delivery of high value and complex capital projects and programmes.
Similarly, for Asset Management, the team focuses on
- Working with asset intensive organisations in various Infrastructure industries to advise and support the development of their asset investment & management strategies and plans - this would include defining, developing or assuring asset management frameworks, investment prioritisation strategy, adoption of a market-led approach to asset investment and delivery planning etc.
- Critically assessing clients network and asset level to inform resilience/maintenance/investments decision-making - including the identification of external and internal risks, shocks and longer-term stresses and running scenario planning.
- End-to-end asset value chain operating model design and deployment, asset management maturity and capability assessments and design of transformations, delivery & commercial models design and deployment etc.
- Addressing capital delivery and operational efficiency challenges, including support in identification, assessment and implementation of realisable cost efficiency initiatives across capital delivery, operation and maintenance functions.
- Defining asset data requirements, governance and standards along with the system architecture to improve asset performance, investment planning and decision-making. Includes strategy development, procurement and client-side oversight of system deployment.
Regarding Assistant Director, candidates will be expected too;
- Support the development and growth of the business by building and sustaining client relationships;
- Develop business opportunities and managing client engagements, including managing diverse teams and promoting an inclusive team culture;
- Bring Management Consulting expertise to your work and clients, including an understanding of the Public Sector and how it operates, managing associated stakeholder environments and business case and approval processes;
- Take a lead on developing others in the team, across both technical and consulting skills; and
- Collaborate in developing thought leadership and external eminence for the team.
- P&L Leadership responsibility
- Setting strategic hiring and client goals and making decisions impacting the team and wider business.
- Executing the full Business Development and Sales Consulting Life cycle and originating revenue across the set client base.
The role is based in Central London and the client offers both flexible and hybrid working policies.
