Assistant Finance Manager

Fully office based, 5 days based in London Mayfair office

£45,000 - £50,000 per annum plus 10% bonus

As Assistant Finace Manager your role will be part of the finance team responsible for several corporate and development entities. Reporting onto the Group Finance Manager, the role involves being responsible for the accounting and treasury functions of these corporate and development entities.

Key duties and responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the preparation of the month end and balance sheet reconciliations for corporate entities and development entities in the hospitality group.
  • Responsible for the preparation of the month end and balance sheet reconciliations for corporate entities in the investor group.
  • Journals - accruals, prepayments, depreciation, assets acquisitions, interest and intercompany transactions.
  • Tracking all the development and corporate invoices and payments.
  • Responsible for maintaining the CWIP and CAPEX trackers.
  • Key finance contact with third party who are responsible for day-to-day accounting of restaurant and hotels operations, including review of monthly reporting.
  • Responsible for the submission of all the relevant information to the external auditors.
  • Responsible for preparation of monthly cash funding requests and draw notices with supporting documentation, including maintaining register of group treasury and intercompany transactions.
  • Own the intercompany reconciliation process for the corporate entities.
  • Preparation & filing of VAT returns and support external preparation for CT.
  • Ad hoc project work in treasury and accounting.

Experience required:

  • Part qualified - CIMA, ACA or ACCA, Part-Qualified / Final Level
  • Previous experience as a group accountant, in particular journal entry, balance sheet reconciliation and consolidations would be beneficial
  • Experience with VAT preparation
  • Technical knowledge of UK GAAP
  • Strong Excel Skills
  • Self-starter with ability to work on own initiative and get the job done

Salary : 45000 - 50000
