Description
Assistant Finance Manager duties:
- Enter sales invoices into accounting software, including coding and setting up new customers.
- Record all purchase and supplier invoices, including coding and setting up new suppliers.
- Post all bank transactions into accounting software.
- Perform bank reconciliations using accounting software.
- Set up payments for suppliers.
- Post credit card transactions to ledgers.
- Record business expenses in accounting software.
- Maintain daily records of all financial transactions.
- Issue payment invoices and receipts to clients.
- Conduct account reconciliations.
- Assist with statutory audits as needed.
- Support other accounting tasks as assigned by the supervisor.
- Manage the accounts mailbox.
Profile
The successful Assistant Finance Manager will have:
- 2+ years experience, eager to enhance accounting knowledge within a growing company.
- Proactive and self-motivated.
- Exceptional attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
- Capable of working under pressure and meeting tight deadlines.
- Excellent report-writing and communication abilities.
- Proficient in financial planning software, including Microsoft Excel and Sage.
- Able to work independently.
