We are seeking a diligent and competent Assistant Financial Accountant to join our industrious team in the Accountancy department. The successful candidate will demonstrate prowess in accounting and finance, supporting our operations in North Wales.

Description

The successful Assistant Financial Accountant will be:

• Month-end processes to include a day-two close, monthly account reconciliations
• Quarterly internal reporting requirements
• Annual internal reporting requirements
• Compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) internal auditing requirements
• Assist with external auditing requirements
• Assist with statutory reporting requirements and annual accounts
• Assist with annual R&D tax credit claim
• Responsibility of purchase ledger to include processing moderate volume of invoices, including 3-way match to stock system
• Processing of freight invoices and matching to shipments
• Preparation of weekly supplier payment runs, domestic and international
• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve any discrepancies or outstanding issues

Profile

The successful Assistant Financial Accountant should have:

• AAT Qualified, CIMA/ ACCA Studier or QBE
• Intermediate Excel user
• SOX compliance skills would be an advantage
• Sound knowledge of accounting principles and regulatory standards
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
