Assistant Management Accountant - Reed : Job Details

Reed Accountancy & Finance are currently seeking a dedicated Assistant Management Accountant to join our clients finance team on a temporary basis in Bethersden. This role is ideal for a finance professional who is looking to develop their skills in a supportive and fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will assist in preparing financial statements, budgets, and financial reports, as well as analysing and interpreting financial data.

• Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts and year-end financial statements.
• Support budgeting and forecasting processes.
• Perform variance analysis and identify trends.
• Contribute to the development of internal financial controls and procedures.
• Reconcile financial discrepancies by collecting and analysing account information.
• Support the senior management team with ad-hoc financial analysis and reporting.
• Assist with audit preparation and liaise with auditors as required.
• Maintain accounting controls by following policies and procedures; complying with financial legal requirements.

• Proven experience as an Assistant Management Accountant or similar role.
• Working towards an accounting qualification (CIMA, ACCA, or equivalent) is desirable.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
• Excellent organisational and time management skills.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
