Assistant Management Accountant

Ashley Kate HR & Finance are delighted to be partnering with a well-established and growing business in North Lincolnshire to recruit an Assistant Management Accountant. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is either studying or looking to continue their studies, while progressing their career in a dynamic finance team.
The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a similar environment and be confident handling key aspects of the role, even when assisting. You'll be part of a collaborative team, driving financial efficiency and supporting the organisation's growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with the preparation of monthly management reports and balance sheet consolidation
- Maintain and update cost databases to ensure accuracy
- Collaborate with various departments to challenge costs and improve financial processes
- Analyse cost variances and make necessary adjustments
- Manage balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring discrepancies are resolved promptly
- Prepare and post prepayments, accruals, and support budgeting and forecasting
- Produce reports for stakeholders and assist with month/year-end processes
- Provide financial advice and support to budget holders
- Ensure compliance with statutory reporting requirements
- Support external audits and contribute to year-end processes
- Continuously seek ways to improve processes and contribute to the team's success
Experience & Skills:
- Minimum of 2-3 years' accounting experience
- Strong numeracy, analytical, and technical skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Familiarity with financial software packages
- Eager for career development and progression
