Assistant Management Accountant

Location: WolverhamptonSalary: £32,000 - £36,000 per annum Job Type: Full-time, Temp to perm

About the Company:Our client, is looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Management Accountant to join their dynamic finance team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to further their career in management accounting and gain valuable experience in a supportive and professional environment. This role offers hybrid working, flexible working hours and a competitive salary. With it being temp to perm I am looking for someone to start immediately.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts, including accruals, prepayments, and journal entries
• Support the production of monthly financial reports and variance analysis
• Help prepare budgets, forecasts, and financial models
• Reconcile balance sheets and bank accounts
• Collaborate with different departments to gather financial data
• Monitor and report on financial performance, identifying trends and discrepancies
• Assist with audits and year-end reporting
• Support the Finance Manager with ad hoc financial tasks and projects

Key Requirements:

• Part-qualified (CIMA, ACCA, or equivalent) or working towards a professional accounting qualification
• A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (preferred but not essential)
• Previous experience in a similar role within a fast-paced environment
• Strong Excel skills, including financial modeling and data analysis
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to work under pressure
• Good communication skills, both written and verbal
• A proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and develop
