Assistant Management Accountant - Rebus Recruitment Limited : Job Details

We are currently working with a great client based in Chorley who are looking for Assistant Management Accountant to join them in this newly created position. The role will primarily involve assisting with the monthly reporting of the management accounts pack and working across the business with internal departmental managers.

Duties as Assistant Management Accountant will include: -

• Assist with the preparation of the financial reports at month end, including balance sheet and P&L reporting.
• Responsible for bank reconciliations across multiple platforms and currencies.
• Manage the stock report and inventory valuations daily, improving transparency around movements, obsolete and write offs.
• Support the reporting of accurate transactional processing across both sides of the ledger, including timely payments.
• Assist in the development of the reporting around freight, logistics and the movement of goods, monitoring costs and variances.
• Monitor the accuracy of all general ledger transactions in preparation for the monthly and yearly closing procedures.
• Responsible for the reporting of accruals and prepayments within the month end management accounts.

The successful candidate will have had some exposure to the month end management reporting cycle and have some solid transactional reporting knowledge preferably within a manufacturing business. Alongside this it is preferable that you will be proficient with an integrated ERP system and an Excel whizz with spreadsheets/data management!!

You will ideally be AAT Technician level and actively studying further towards your professional qualification with CIMA/ACCA, wanting to gain more experience alongside great mentors.
