The Role:

We are looking for a driven and accurate analytical thinker to join our growing retail business. This full-time role needs an individual that can use sales and trend data to bring in a range of products at the right time and in the right quantities.

They are number-savvy analysts who are creative with their logic and passionate about product. They are responsible forassisting the Merchandiser and wider senior Retail team in driving profit for the business, using commercial, innovative thinking. The role is a great opportunity to develop a wide array of retail HQ skills, as you will have direct access to the senior stakeholders of the business.

  • Responsible for ensuring the smooth running day-to-day of the Merchandising department, including the execution of Monday Trade Reporting.
  • Forecasting sales and stock levels to achieve sales plans and margin/profit targets for the department.
  • Monitoring the department performance and identifying opportunities, as well as potential risk/loss.
  • Evaluating the running of the department, whilst focusing on lead times and general performance.
  • Developing and managing an MAA.
  • Managing the WSSI and supporting trade plan
  • Responsible for setting the allocation parameters and ensuring the right balance and volume of stock is sent to each of the stores.
  • Support the merchandising team in analyzing sales data and stock performance across multiple branches, to work closely with store teams to maximize sales opportunities.
  • Assist in planning and executing new store openings, including initial stock allocation, visual merchandising setup, and launch strategies.
  • Working closely with the Allocation Teamto ensure product availability is maintained.

Candidate Profile:

  • Proven experience in Merchandising in a Home or Fashion Retail business.
  • Experience of planning weekly sales, stock and intake. (WSSI)
  • The confidence to manage and own a number of categories, including participating in weekly trade meetings.
  • Excellent communication skills and proven ability to build relationships internally and externally at all levels.
  • The capability and is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience of managing and developing team members (desirable.)
  • Strong computer skills, be a wiz at Excel and proficient with MS Office applications (necessary.)
