Harmonic are delighted to be working with a TV and Film Accounting Group, providing production accounting services to some of the biggest studios and producers in the industry.
The Business:
Our client is an industry-leading accounting group that provides production accounting services to major labels and studios including Netflix, Apple TV, and Amazon Studios. Based in several offices across the US and the UK, this role would be joining their talented and tight-knit UK office based in Central London. Comprised of 15 accountants passionate about the TV, Film, and Entertainment industries, the business boasts a non-corporate but professional culture- providing all on-set production accounting needs to clients (without the hectic hours and on-set commutes)!
Due to the international nature of their work, this client's working hours are 10am-7pm (providing a great lie-in) to accommodate the different time-zones they cover, and as well as allowing for lots of communication with international, high-profile clients. As your own learning and development are incredibly important to our client, this role is 5 days a week in-office to maximize your exposure to the business and accelerate progression.
The Role
Reporting into a talented and warm Production Accountant, this Assistant Accountant will be responsible for a myriad of accounting tasks, including AP/AR, reconciliation, performing payment runs, processing purchase orders, and running payrolls for several ongoing productions. This is a great opportunity for someone just starting their accounting career looking to progress into production accounting roles within a business that emphasizes learning and progression; there is a clear path to becoming a manager, and many opportunities to receive the relevant training to help you succeed.
The ideal candidate will have 1-2 years of experience in bookkeeping, accounts payable, or as an accounts assistant and will have a clear passion for all things TV/Film. This role is well-suited to an ambitious junior ready to learn and get stuck-in, and someone who can handle the fast-paced and dynamic world of high-end TV and Film production.
