Location: East Midlands

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join an award-winning Tier 2 Main Contractor in the East Midlands. Due to continued growth they are seeking a hardworking and enthusiastic Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join their busy commercial.

Assistant Quantity Surveyor Role

The Assistant Quantity Surveyor will work across multiple teams to gain exposure to different types of projects, assisting with the day-to-day financial control, reporting and commercial performance management from tender stage up to final accounts. Within the role, you will assist the Senior Quantity Surveyor and Quantity Surveyor with cash management, including timely application / certification / invoicing / payment and careful administration of subcontract accounts.

Assistant Quantity Surveyor - Responsibilities:-

* To assist the Senior Quantity Surveyor/Quantity Surveyor * Subcontract procurement and account management* Commercial support to the operational team * Support the wider commercial team as directed * Processing subcontractor payments* Preparation of contract claims information * Assisting the Senior Quantity Surveyor in producing and delivering CVRs* Assistant the Senior Quantity Surveyor with project cash management * Ensuring drawings are checked for variations and changes noted to commercial team in conjunction with other Surveyors * Tracking tender returned and chasing quotations from sub-contractors and suppliers - communicating progress to the team

Assistant Quantity Surveyor - Requirements

* BSc (Hons) Quantity Surveying and Construction Management / Equivalent * Experience from a build or civils background is desirable * Must have a 'can do attitude'* Able to work part of a team but also demonstrate own initiative * Excellent Written and Communication skills
