Associate Director Business Rates - Hays Specialist Recruitment Limited : Job Details

Your new companyI am currently working with a leading national consultancy who are looking at bringing on an Associate Director specialising in Business Rates to join the team. The team is currently growing due to the rising demand from clients and looking at an individual who can join the business and hit the ground running.Your new role

• Reviewing the accuracy of Rateable Value assessments
• Challenging and reducing Rateable Value assessments
• Cross sector exposure across Commercial, Leisure, Industrial and Retail
• Rates reliefs and exemptions
• Business rates support when moving to a new property or vacating an existing property
• Dealing with financial matters linked to business rates including budgets, payments, refund recovery and exemptions
• Auditing historical liability rates and recovering any overpayments

What you'll need to succeed

• Membership to the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (MRICS)
• Multiple sector experience across but not specific to Commercial, Industrial, Retail and Leisure
• Proven historical success working in Business Rates

What you'll get in return

• Salary ranging from £75,000 - £90,000 depending upon experience
