A leading multi-disciplinary construction consultancy is seeking a driven and experienced Associate Quantity Surveyor to join their dynamic Southampton office. This is an exceptional opportunity to lead on diverse projects, mentor a team, and shape the future of a thriving consultancy.

The Associate Quantity Surveyor Role

The successful Associate Quantity Surveyor will take on a pivotal role, delivering cost management and contract administration services across a wide range of projects. While residential developments are the consultancy's primary focus, their portfolio also includes exciting work in Commercial, Arts & Leisure, and Education sectors, ensuring every day offers variety and challenge.

You will collaborate closely with clients and senior management, ensuring successful project delivery and contributing to the strategic growth of the business.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and deliver comprehensive cost management services using CostX.
• Lead contract administration duties, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
• Manage and mentor junior staff, fostering a collaborative and supportive team culture.
• Act as a key point of contact for clients, providing expert advice and ensuring satisfaction.
• Drive project success and identify opportunities for further business growth.

The Associate Quantity Surveyor

The incoming Associate Quantity Surveyor could be a current Senior QS who feels they've hit a ceiling in their current role and are seeking a step up and a chance to stretch their wings in an environment that will allow them to continue to develop, or an established Associate seeking a fresh challenge. You will be:

• MRICS qualified
• Hold a RICS accredited degree qualification
• Extensive experience in PQS/Consultancy, with experience in a senior role.
• Familiarity with Employers Agent and Contract Administration duties is advantageous.
• Strong technical expertise in quantity surveying and cost management.
• A proactive leader with excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Comfortable commuting to Southampton and visiting project sites as required.
