Associate Structural Engineer - RGB Recruitment : Job Details

Are you a Structural Engineer, ready to step up into a leading role, heading up the structural department and having an active role in critical business decisions. We are working with an independently run engineering consultancy with a fantastic reputation with over 30 years of history in Cardiff. They are looking for a senior manager to join their growing team to work on local and national projects. With a talented and diverse team of practice has an active social scene and promises real career development. Recent and current projects include:

• High tech data centres
• Apartment units and commercial buildings
• Waste to energy projects
• Historic Bridges
• Heavy Civil Structures
• Historic restoration of the local historically significant buildings
• Local out of town retail parks
• Blue light services across South Wales
• Local airport infrastructure

The business is looking for a skilled, enthusiastic and self-motivated person to join the senior management team who can work autonomously using their initiative to help drive the structural side of the business forwardResponsibilities will include;

• Actively involved in the recruitment process
• Looking after key accounts and clients
• Team management
• Developing client relationships and new business
• Some hands on design responsibility
• Signing off on work
• Running team meetings
• Distributing work
• Have input on critical business decisions for the office

Ideally candidates will meet he following criteria:

• Chartered with the IStructE or ICE
• Extensive background in structural engineering
• Good business acumen
• Excellent communication skills
• Varied project portfolio
