Accounts & Audit Manager Basingstoke based Salary up to £65,000 50:50 Accounts & Audit splitButler Rose public practice are exciting to be representing a well-established accountancy firm in Basingstoke who are looking to recruit an Accounts & Audit Manager. Working from new and modern offices, this role will manage a small team and be responsible for overseeing the audit process for multiple clients. This role will offer un-capped progression and the chance to work directly with the senior director. You will also receive free on-site parking, private medical insurance and an excellent employee benefit scheme. Duties:
- Manage, motivate and co-ordinate a team of Audit/Accounts professionals across 3 offices
- Mentor, train and develop audit and accounts staff
- The administration, preparation and review of accounts production for a varied portfolio of clients, including sole traders, partnerships and limited company's,
- To ensure the Audit/Accounts compliance cycle is completed on time each year
- Planning, managing and reviewing audit engagements
- Working with outsourcing, payroll and tax department colleagues on Audit/Accounts related issues
- Assisting the Tax Director with Audit/Accounts aspects of Tax investigation work
- Attend client meetings, build and develop good working relationships with clients and colleagues
- Internal practice management including budgets, WIP levels, timely billing, fee projections and bill preparation
Requirements:
- ACA / ACCA Qualified
- 5+ years of Accounts preparation experience and 2+ years of experience of review of accounts preparation work
- Experience of leading and managing audit teams
- Demonstrate a good level of practical experience and a thorough understanding of risk based auditing
