We are delighted to be representing a brilliant and well-respected Top 20 UK accountancy firm in their search for an Audit and Accounts Semi Senior in London to join their modern team and support the Audit Seniors with the provision of audit and some general accounting matters for a portfolio of exciting clients.

This role will see the successful applicant taking a pivotal role in the preparation of both audit and accounts for a range of owner managed businesses, SMEs and subsidiaries of large multi-national groups.

This opportunity will suit someone who is ACA, ACCA, or CA studying or ready to begin with at least two years of experience within an accountancy practice. You will be excited to support the senior team with the provision of both general accounting and audit services and you’ll be ambitious and focused on building a long-lasting career.

We’d be thrilled to hear from existing Semi Seniors with a good overall knowledge of audit or Junior Accountants who are ready to further develop their skills and get stuck into a more focused role.

Job Purpose

• Support the team with the provision of accounting and audit services for a large portfolio audit from planning to completion.
• Provide an elevated level of client customer service.
• Support the audit process on client’s sites and from your desk.
• Provide professional and personable client-facing communication skills.
• Preparation and submission of financial statements.
• Liaising with HMRC.
• Mentor new trainees and form part of a team that is focused on continued professional development.
• Supporting the senior team with ad hoc projects as required.

The Successful Applicant

• ACA, ACCA or CA studying or ready to begin with audit experience within practice
• A can-do attitude and a great work ethic
• Ambitious and confident
• Self-motivated and reliable who is eager to progress
• Technically efficient in both audit and accounting
• A drive to deliver technical knowledge as a point of call for the team
• Strong communication skills are essential, both verbal and written
