Role responsibilities

• Leading audit assignments from planning through to completion, ensuring compliance and quality
• Preparing and reviewing financial accounts for a range of clients
• Supervising and mentoring junior staff, reviewing their work, and providing constructive feedback
• Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, offering expert advice and support
• Identifying and implementing improvements in clients’ financial processes
• Staying up to date with changes in auditing and accounting regulations
• Occasionally visiting clients’ premises in Suffolk as required

Candidate requirements

• ACA, ACCA, or equivalent qualification, or part-qualified with relevant experience
• Strong audit experience, with a solid understanding of current auditing standards
• Experience in accounts preparation and general accounting duties
• Proven leadership and supervisory skills, with the ability to manage junior staff effectively
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• A proactive and client-focused approach to problem-solving and service delivery
