Our client, a prestigious top 40 accountancy practice with over 150 talented professionals in their Canterbury office, is seeking an Audit Manager to manage a diverse portfolio, including charities, academies, education, and not-for-profit (NFP) clients. Your Role
- Take ownership of a client portfolio, managing workflow and ensuring high-quality service delivery.
- Plan, prioritise, and allocate audit tasks while maintaining budgets and maximising fee recovery.
- Lead client engagements, from planning through to completion, ensuring compliance with UK GAAP and ISA standards.
- Act as a trusted advisor, building lasting relationships with clients and identifying opportunities to add value.
- Support and mentor audit team members, providing regular feedback and fostering professional growth.
- Collaborate with internal teams to cross-sell services and drive business development.
What We're Looking For
- Qualifications: ACA/ACCA qualified with a strong foundation in statutory audit.
- Experience: Proven track record in managing audits, preferably with exposure to charities, academies, and NFP sectors.
- Skills: Strong technical knowledge of UK GAAP, IFRS (desirable), and ISA standards. Excellent organisational and analytical abilities with a client-first approach.
- Leadership: A natural leader with experience in mentoring and managing teams, driving results, and inspiring excellence.
