Job Description :

Job Role:

  • Responsible for the functional operation of the company's UK Field Exam in accordance with the company's UK policy & best practice.
  • To ensure Risk Assessment of existing facilities in accordance with the company's credit policy is undertaken & maintenance of client bad debt provisions within agreed targets (ideally zero).
  • Contribution to the overall success of the company's division.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversight & management of the BA team.
  • Protection of the company's security via business review and client audit processes to ensure minimal client losses.
  • Review & ongoing maintenance of Audit & DD work papers.
  • Reporting of due diligence and audit function activity via the Monthly Report.
  • Coordinating & Management of Audit Schedule.
  • Review & ongoing maintenance of Procedures relating to Audit and Due Diligence processes.
  • Review & ongoing maintenance of BA Training programme.
  • Reporting of performance and development of the team providing training and support for new & existing members of staff.
  • Audit Quality & monitoring processes within the team.

Job Specific Responsibilities:

Internal Reporting, Monitoring & Relationships:

  • Completion & ongoing maintenance of month end report and improve reporting relevant to business / department KPI’s.
  • Review/QA audits and ensure quality of written and risk issues maintained and issues escalated are resolved according to protocol prior to Audit team sign off.
  • Formal sign off Audit Reports and Management of sign offs process & submission tracking.
  • Coordinate &/or assist Team &/or PM’s with take-on/prefund requirements; on client visits / High Risk clients when necessary and provide support in justifying any reserve implementation / client issues.
  • Attend monthly UK Risk Committee in person in Haywards Heath.

Team Performance & Development:

  • Manage interview process for candidates & new start process for new starters.
  • Continuing review of audit work papers for improvements and liaising with internal stakeholders for assistance with this.
  • Continual assessment of staff members via regular on site attendance to assess performance and development with feedback obtained from internal stakeholders.
  • Ensure new starters are trained into the company's risk culture and understand the requirements of the role prior to undertaking solo reviews.
  • Ongoing review / mentoring of staff via report review, team meetings & regular formal off site meet ups and to integrate team within the overall company culture by encouraging & making visits to HH, regional and the London offices.

Outsource providers:

  • Day to day relationships with existing and potential outsource providers & provide appropriate feedback on reviews.
  • Oversee outsource providers are panel approved to the company, have applicable Terms & Conditions and utilising appropriate letters of engagement.
  • Any other duties as required, from time to time, by the Operations Group Manager &/or Senior Management.

Skills Required:

  • Leadership, Management & Strategic development skills to include prior Team Management experience - 3 - 5 years at a Senior Field Examiner level.
  • Experience and solid understanding of receivables finance and of asset based lending.
  • Ability to concisely communicate a balanced view of situations and consider alternative viewpoints.
  • Proven track record of being able to effectively organize and prioritise workload and deliver to very tight deadlines.
  • Requirement to travel throughout UK (and possibly Europe) involving overnight stays.

Salary : 75000 - 95000
