Role Responsibilities
  • Leading audit engagements from planning through to completion, ensuring compliance with ISAs and relevant regulations
  • Preparing and reviewing audit plans, conducting risk assessments, and determining effective audit approaches
  • Conducting fieldwork, analysing financial data, and assessing clients’ internal controls to identify areas of audit risk
  • Serving as the primary point of contact for clients, managing expectations, and delivering exceptional service
  • Reviewing financial statements to ensure compliance with UK GAAP, IFRS, and other relevant standards
  • Supervising and mentoring junior audit staff, delegating tasks effectively, and reviewing their work
  • Presenting audit findings and recommendations to clients, offering insights into potential financial and operational improvements
  • Staying up-to-date with developments in accounting standards, audit regulations, and best practices

Candidate Requirements
  • Requirements:
    • In the final stages of ACA or ACCA qualification (or recently qualified)
    • 2-4 years of audit experience within the UK
    • Solid knowledge of UK GAAP, IFRS, and other accounting frameworks
    • Proven ability to manage client engagements and lead audit teams
    • Charity audit experience (preferred but not essential)
