AWS Developer - Henderson Scott : Job Details

AWS Developer - Platform Development - 12 months - outside IR35 - Public Sector - ScotlandI am looking for an experienced AWS Platform Engineer to work on innovative projects within the public sector in Scotland. Using your AWS expertise you'll drive the build & development of new solutions for their cloud environment, contributing to the organisation's success.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and deploy software solutions using PaaS and SaaS.
• Engage with a developer community, leveraging platform services.
• Create software services tailored for business users.
• Work with JavaScript UI frameworks, particularly React.
• Implement AWS Serverless and cloud-native architectures.
• Utilise CI/CD methodologies and AWS native CI/CD tools.
• Define infrastructure and processes through code.
• Apply automated testing in AWS environments and build processes.
• Introduce new, efficient processes or concepts within AWS.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand needs and deliver value.
• Operate within agile frameworks like Scrum and Kanban.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Background developing and building enterprise scale cloud solutions using AWS technologies
• Experience of Conainer platforms such as Kubernetes, ECS, Fargate
• JavaScript / React Front End Development
• Python, Bash scripting
• Git, CodeArtifact, OpenSearch
• Softwared Development Lifce Cycle including Testing
• Agile development environment, particularly using Scrum / Kanban
• Experience of working for public sector organisations and/or knowledge of Digital First / GDS
• Flexibility to work hybrid and provide out of hours support when required
