Job Summary

Eames are seeking an Azure Solutions Lead to deliver digital transformation by migrating legacy applications to Azure. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement robust solutions, ensuring high-performing engineering standards,

Key Responsibilities

• Legacy Application Assessment and Planning: Evaluate and plan migration of legacy applications to Azure (Biztalk and .Net).
• Solution Design and Implementation: Design scalable and secure Azure solutions (Azure Web App, API App, Functions, SQL, Cosmos DB, Logic Apps, Storage, Service Bus, App Service Environment, Redis Cache, Key Vault, AD/MFA). Use Azure DevOps for builds and releases.
• Team Management: Manage high-performing teams (15+ engineers), review performance, and set objectives.
• Migration Execution: Lead migration with minimal disruption, refactor/rehost legacy apps on Azure.
• Monitoring and Optimisation: Set up monitoring, optimise performance, cost, and security.
• Team Leadership: Guide partner development teams on Azure best practices, ensure adherence to development standards, and support transformation initiatives.
• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with regulatory controls, support Internal Audit.
• Ensure Engineering Compliance: Maintain adherence to industry best practices and regulatory frameworks, such as ISO27001, to guarantee that all software and solutions meet necessary compliance standards.

Skills and Competencies

• Business Risk Understanding: Quantify business risk from software changes.
• Leadership: Proven leadership and communication skills.
• Transformation Champion: Advocate for legacy migration and transformation.
• Security Standards: Deep knowledge of software security standards.
• Agile Development: Experience with Agile, TDD, BDD, CI/CD practices.
• Performance Improvement: Proven track record in improving team performance and efficiency.
• Cloud Expertise: Hands-on experience with Azure services, migration experience, and understanding of IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS models.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in scripting (PowerShell, Python), cloud security, and compliance.

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
• Preferred: Azure certifications (e.g., Azure Solutions Architect, Azure DevOps Engineer).
