My client is within the Banking and Settlement domain and they are keen to hire an exceptional Azure Cloud Engineer on freelance contract for 1 year.

Remote working is allowed however you will be needed on-site for team meetings in Paris or Brussels location.

As a consultant with an experience in engineering Azure cloud technologies, you will:

Your mission:

As an Azure Cloud Engineer you provide application software development services and technical support in order to:

• analyze the IT Products requirements, and translate into the Terraform solution
• design, implement, and maintain robust and efficient IT Product infrastructure using Terraform and Azure DevOps
• collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, ensuring seamless integration of Terraform modules provided by Technology Services colleagues
• focus is on reliability, security, and scalability, while adhering to best practices defined by the Technology Services colleagues
• code, test, debug, document, implement and maintain Terraform and YAML pipelines
• liaise with Technology Services teams to address infrastructure issues and to ensure that the components and software's used on the platform are all consistent

Your qualifications:

• Terraform: Proficiency in writing Terraform code to provision and manage infrastructure resources as modules.
• Azure DevOps (or similar CI/CD tools): Experience setting up and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using YAML templates.
• Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Understanding of IaC principles and best practices.
• Cloud Platforms: Familiarity with cloud platforms (especially Azure).
• Scripting: Ability to write scripts (e.g., Bash, PowerShell) for automation.

• Collaboration: Effective communication and teamwork with cross-functional teams.
• Problem-Solving: Analytical mindset to troubleshoot issues and optimize infrastructure.
• Adaptability: Willingness to learn and adapt to evolving technologies.
• Attention to Detail: Ensuring accuracy and reliability in infrastructure code.
• Strong analytical thinking and interest in the financial industry
• Have a true agile mindset: capable and willing to take on tasks outside of your core competencies to help the team
• Experience in delivering cross-functional multi-platform designs, to be used in mission-critical contexts (real-time criticality & high resilience)

• Relevant certifications such as:
  • Microsoft Certified: Azure DevOps Engineer,
  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert
  • HashiCorp Certified: Terraform Associate.
