Job Title: Band 7 Dietician

Location: Based in Southampton, Hampshire

Caseload: Working for a low secure mental health service for young people aged 12-18 years, with disordered eating

Contract Start Date: ASAP (the trust is happy to consider candidates who cannot start immediately, e.g have a notice period).

Working Pattern:

• Part-Time: 22.5 hours per week. 3 days across Monday to Friday. Working Hours: 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Job Description:

Piers Meadows Recruitment are seeking a locum Band 7 Dietician to join the NHS service, providing essential support to young people within a low secure setting. This role focuses on working with teenagers who are facing significant challenges related to food and fluid intake, including those who may require naso-gastric tube feeding.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide specialized dietary support for young people with food and fluid refusal.
• Manage and monitor naso-gastric tube feeding when necessary.
• Offering support to young people on medication that may lead to increased appetite and weight gain.
• Working with a multidisciplinary team

Specific requirements:

• Post-grad experience as a qualified Dietician, particularly in supporting young people
• HCPC registration
