An amazing opportunity has recently popped up to work with students with behavioural and mental health needs as a Behaviour Intervention Worker in Wokingham.

Our amazing specialist school believes every child has the potential to succeed and they are committed to providing the necessary support to help them thrive. They are looking for an enthusiastic Behaviour Intervention Worker to join their team ASAP.

As a Behaviour Intervention Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting students with challenging behaviour in the classroom. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to gain experience in behaviour intervention and make a meaningful impact on children's lives.

Responsibilities in your role as a Therapeutic Support Assistant:

  • Work directly with students to promote positive behaviour and emotional regulation
  • Help create a safe and inclusive classroom environment conducive to learning
  • Monitor and document student behaviour and provide feedback.
  • Support students in developing social skills and conflict resolution strategies
  • Collaborate with the school team to identify triggers and develop proactive approaches to behaviour management
  • Help model healthy coping strategies and social skills
  • Maintain a safe and positive learning environment

What you need to be a great Behaviour Intervention Worker:

  • A positive attitude
  • empathy and compassion
  • good behaviour management skills
  • confidence to support the classroom
  • previous experience with children with be an advantage but not essential
