Behaviour Mentor - Witney

Ages 5 to 11 - ASAP StartPerfect for Aspiring Psychologists, Therapists, or Even Future Crime-Fighters!

Looking to use your superpowers for good? KS1/KS2 students need you. We've got just the Behaviour Mentor role for you! A small, friendly primary school in Witney, Oxfordshire is on the hunt for a Behaviour Mentor/ Teaching Assistant to support our amazing kids aged 5 to 11. These little legends face some big challenges, from anxiety and school refusal to learning differences like dyslexia. But with the right support, they can achieve incredible things - and that's where you come in.

The Role:

  • Title: Behaviour Mentor / Teaching Assistant Extraordinaire
  • Start Date: ASAP - we're excited to meet you!
  • Location: Witney, Oxfordshire
  • Pay: £83.50 -£90 per day - enough for daily snacks and a superhero cape
  • Environment: Alternative education setting with a compassionate, child-first approach
  • Extras: Get up close and personal with real-life therapists and psychologists. No capes, but you can definitely shadow them!

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Boosting social skills and emotional well-being - because a little encouragement goes a long way!
  • Helping children understand that "great minds think differently" and there's no "one size fits all" when it comes to learning.
  • Supporting kids who've had tough experiences; they might come to us feeling low or disengaged, but you'll help them find their spark.
  • Using restorative practices to make the world (or at least our school) a better place.

What We're Looking For:

  • Super Resilience: You might not have a superhero suit, but you're tough enough to handle anything thrown your way (even if it's just a temper tantrum).
  • An Open Mind: No one-size-fits-all here - we embrace individuality!
  • Relevant Experience or Degree: If you've worked with kids or studied something like psychology, counselling, or social work, we're keen to hear from you.
  • A Sense of Humor: Because laughter is the best classroom management tool.

Why this Witney school? They're not just a school; they're a community. Made up of passionate, skilled people who genuinely care about making a difference. They believe in empowering KS1/KS2 kids to realise their unique potential.

Ready to Apply? If you're ready for the challenge, apply directly via this Behaviour Mentor advertisement. Interviews are being scheduled ASAP -don't miss your chance!
