Behaviour Mentor - Secondary School (Greenwich)

We are seeking a dedicated and motivated Behaviour Mentor to join our vibrant, supportive secondary school in Greenwich. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with students who require additional support with behaviour management and to make a positive difference to their educational experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support students in managing their behaviour and emotions in both classroom and social settings.
- Work closely with teaching staff to implement behavioural support strategies and interventions.
- Provide one-to-one and small group support to students exhibiting challenging behaviour.
- Monitor and track student progress, providing regular feedback to teachers and leadership teams.
- Act as a positive role model, promoting inclusion, resilience, and respect among students.
- Liaise with parents, carers, and external agencies to ensure effective support for students.
- Assist in the creation and implementation of personalised learning plans and behavioural strategies.
Requirements:
- Previous experience working with children or young people, ideally in an educational setting.
- A DBS check on the Update Service (or willingness to undergo one).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
- A calm, patient, and proactive approach to working with young people.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Experience or knowledge of behaviour management strategies is desirable.
