A fantastic Special Educational Needs (SEN) school in Slough is seeking an Emotional & Behavioural Support Assistant to join their supportive team on a full-time basis. This role is perfect for someone with experience working with young people-whether through tutoring, mentoring, youth programs, or previous teaching assistant roles-or someone eager to develop a career in this rewarding field.

The position involves working with students who face challenges such as Autism, ADHD, and social, emotional, and mental health difficulties. Your mission will be to foster positive relationships, assist their learning journey, and help them navigate obstacles to success.

Your Key Responsibilities

As an Emotional & Behavioural Support Assistant, your role will include:

  • Offering one-on-one or small group support to help students meet their goals.
  • Encouraging emotional growth and fostering constructive behaviours.
  • Assisting with personalized lesson delivery alongside teachers and support staff.
  • Supporting students in developing essential life skills and self-esteem.
  • Contributing to an inclusive, safe, and nurturing school environment.

  • Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 am - 3:30 pm
  • Experience: Previous SEN experience is helpful but not essential-dedication and compassion are what matter most!
