Role: Bid ManagerSalary: Up to £50,000 + car/car allowance, 33 days holiday, pension, life assurance, employee assistance programme, wellbeing support, and flexible benefits schemeLocation: Remote, with travel to offices as required (Oxford/Nuneaton)Term: Full time / PermanentAbout the Role:As a Bid Manager, you will lead the development of competitive, winning proposals in warehousing and transport across a variety of sectors. You’ll work with a diverse team of professionals, ensuring that proposals align with client specifications and company goals. You will manage every aspect of the bid process, ensuring timely, high-quality, customer-centric submissions that meet public and private sector requirements.Key responsibilities include:
- Leading the response to both public and private sector tenders, coordinating a virtual team that includes Operations, Project Management, Finance, and Commercial.
- Producing concise, persuasive, and customer-focused proposal documents, presentations, and other submission materials.
- Overseeing bid production, ensuring all proposals meet client requirements and deadlines.
- Facilitating Value Proposition sessions to craft winning strategies and integrate them into submission documents.
- Managing key actions, outputs, and clarifications throughout the bid process, ensuring compliance and quality control.
- Leading tender review meetings, facilitating collaboration among team members to fine-tune proposals.
- Continually enhancing bid processes and contributing to bid management initiatives across the organisation.
About You:
- Solid experience managing bids, particularly within the public and private sectors.
- Excellent writing skills, with the ability to craft persuasive, high-level proposals.
- Strong verbal and presentation skills to engage and persuade stakeholders.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly PowerPoint and Word.
- Experience in stakeholder management, working with cross-functional teams to deliver successful bids.
- The ability to juggle multiple projects, meet tight deadlines, and work well under pressure.
- A passion for supply chain logistics, with experience or training (such as Shipley or APMP) in bid management being advantageous.
