Job Description :

We are currently looking for a Bid Writer to join the team, providing creative, well-structured and innovative bids in response to the client requirements. This role can be home based or out of one of our local Service Centers and may include hybrid working.

The job involves:

The successful applicant would be able to write effective, concise and compelling content focused on key Company products and services. You would also be able to.

  • Break bid questions down into their component parts creating comprehensive responses that meet and exceed customer requirements, whilst being creative and offering added value.
  • Have the ability to take technical subject matter, interpret it and convey complex proposals in an intelligent, factual and compelling manner. 
  • Work as a team and to get accurate, high quality information from all bid stakeholders to produce winning bids collateral.
  • Able to work closely with operational colleagues. 
  • Have excellent verbal and written communication skills ideally with a contemporary writing style.
  • High attention to detail is essential.
  • Demonstrable and excellent editing and proofing ability.
  • Able to demonstrate effective bid writing skills.
  • Excellent literacy skills, with an extensive vocabulary.
  • Deadline driven with effective organisational and time management skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a busy environment
  • Must be able to multitask and prioritise workload. 

About you;

  • Degree in English, Marketing, Journalism, or a sector relevant subject or have relevant and substantive experience.
  • Experience in the required business sector highly desirable
  • Previous bid team involvement essential.
  • Journalism experience highly desirable.
  • Experience and an understanding of tendering in both the public and commercial sector is desirable.

  • 40 hours Monday - Friday 08.30 - 1700
