Bill Validation Executive - B2B retail energy - Utility People : Job Details

Our client, an established Energy Consultancy, is looking for a Bill Validation Executive to join their growing team. In this role, you will support Account Managers and clients by handling billing queries, validating invoices, analysing metering data and uncovering opportunities for client savings. Key responsibilities:

• Perform bill validation - taking full ownership for the monthly billing cycle 
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and customers
• Answer queries to ensure continuing levels of client satisfaction are met
• Analyse potential over/under charges and assist Account Managers in resolving queries
• Validating utility invoices
• Resolving billing and metering queries 
• Accessing supplier portals/Identifying validation errors and resolutions
• Identifying additional savings opportunities for a client
• Preparing annual utility budgets

Skills and experience required: 

• Previous bill/ invoice validation within the energy industry experience 
• Query management, customer service and confident telephone manner
• Escalation handling
• Analytical and numerical skills
• Accurate, focused with good attention to detail 
• Good written and organisation skills 
• Computer literacy including Intermediate Microsoft Excel
