Day-to-day of the role:
- Monitor the partner and client portfolio of bills issued, ensuring timely dispatch within the firm’s policy timeframe.
- Handle ad-hoc proforma requests and generate reports.
- Amend proformas as requested and input billing guide amendments into the pre-billing system according to partner/associate requirements.
- Review time narratives for accuracy, identify and correct typos.
- Forward billing guides to alternative reviewers and editors as required in the pre-bill system.
- Manage a high volume of invoices and billing-related queries.
- Liaise with the Working Capital Support team to assist in resolving complex queries.
- Prepare narratives and fee breakdowns as required.
- Prepare covering documents for dispatch on generated bills for partner/associate review.
- Facilitate the dispatch of bills to clients in line with client requirements.
- Liaise with the eBilling team to provide billing guidelines and portal requirements.
- Handle credit notes/re-issue instructions via Finance workflow and other post-billing queries.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Experience in a partnership or professional services environment with a finance background.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, confident and professional telephone manner.
- Proficient in MS Excel and Word.
- Demonstrated ability to manage own workload, prioritise tasks, and use initiative.
- Strong analytical skills to resolve queries.
- Flexible in approach and able to adapt to changing workflows.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and detail-oriented.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
