Bookkeeper - boutique accountancy firm Hertford, Hertfordshire £28,000 to £35,000 Butler Rose public practice are delighted to be supporting our client, a well-established boutique firm of accountants based in the heart of the historic county town of Hertford, that are now in a position to recruit for an experienced practice bookkeeper to service the day-to-day accounting requirement of a diverse range of LTD companies, sole traders and partnerships Role Requirements - You will look support a portfolio of clients (SMEs, OMBs, and micro businesses) spanning varied industry sectors, and provide the following duties: Day to day bookkeeping to include accounts payable and receivable processing, credit control (as required) and bank reconciliations using XERO, Quickbooks and Sage50 Production of quarterly VAT returns for clients and submission to the HMRC Preparation of periodic management accounts to include accruals & prepayments, accounts to trial balance and balance sheet reconciliations Liaising with clients to resolve queries and the HMRC on their behalf. Person Requirements - Ideally AAT qualified or late stages with at least 3+ years' experience working in a similar Bookkeeper/Accounts Assistant role for a UK based practice. Practical exposure to servicing the day-to-day accounting requirements of clients to include general bookkeeping, VAT returns, management accounts Proficient in the use of cloud-based accounting software such as XERO, Quickbooks and Sage50 This is a fantastic opportunity for an accountancy practice experienced bookkeeper to join a firm whose success has been built from their reputation in the local area.
